2026 LRTC STUDENT RACING CHALLENGE!
SUMMER DRONE S.T.E.M. CAMP
This summer, the Litchfield Regional Training Center’s (LRTC) Student Racing Challenge Summer Camp is back WITH DRONES! Tailored for high school and middle school students, this camp introduces and fosters essential STEM concepts.
GRADES 9-12: JUNE 22-26, 8AM-3PM
GRADES 5-8: JULY 20-24, 8AM-3PM
FIRST-PERSON-VIEW (FPV) DRONES
This year we are switching things up which purpose built FPV drones. These drones have different levels of difficulty letting students configure the drone to their specific skill level. Whether the student has zero experience or has been flying drones for their whole life, these drones gives students a chance to test their skills.
CUTTING EDGE FLIGHT SIMULATOR!
PREPPING FOR RACE DAY FRIDAY
Through hands-on lessons in coding, aerodynamics, electronics, and problem-solving, participants will build, configure, and fine-tune their drones while analyzing real flight data to improve performance. Students will have the opportunity to train in a cutting edge flight simulator to hone their skills. After days of testing, troubleshooting, and skill development, students will put their knowledge to the test on race day Friday — showcasing both their engineering expertise and piloting abilities in an exciting final competition.
$50 INCLUDES LUNCH AND RACE T-SHIRT
Location: Litchfield Regional Training Center (LRTC), 181 Simpson Drive, Litchfield, Michigan 49252.
