Community Outreach and Training Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director, Litchfield Regional Training Center (LRTC)
Position Summary
The Community Outreach and Training Coordinator will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining productive relationships with local and regional companies, educational institutions, and community organizations. This position aims to enhance the visibility and utilization of the LRTC’s offerings, ensuring alignment with regional training needs and funding opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
Training Needs Assessment
Engage with regional companies to determine their specific training requirements.
In coordination with the LRTC Director, identify ways the LRTC can address these needs through tailored training programs.
Outreach and Awareness
Conduct outreach to regional businesses to raise awareness about the training programs and resources available through the LRTC.
Educational Partnerships
Assist the LRTC Director, establish and maintain training programs with area high schools and home school groups to provide students with valuable skills and opportunities.
Event Representation
Periodically represent the LRTC at job fairs, college fairs, and other similar events to promote the center's offerings and attract potential students.
Student Registration Assistance
Assist in the registration process for students enrolling in LRTC programs, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Apprenticeship Programs
Assist the LRTC Director to collaborate with local companies to establish and develop apprenticeship programs that meet industry standards and workforce needs.
Qualifications
Experience in community outreach, workforce development, or educational program coordination.
Strong communication, networking, and public speaking skills.
Knowledge of the local and regional business landscape.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills and Attributes

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting organizational goals.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Please note this is a part-time position consisting of16 hours week.
